Go to bed on time
We all are guilty of going to bed a little late and then next morning we feel tired. Go to bed on time, if possible, disconnect from electronics about 1 hour before you go to bed. I myself am guilty and am on training 😉 If you go to bed on time you will be well rested and will feel active in the morning.
Do not hit the Snooze button
This is the most important of all J. Even if you follow all the tips but this, your morning will end up a disaster that I’m sure all of have experienced at some point in time. It also goes back to going to bed on time, if you are up late at night you will be tired and would not want to get up; hence you snooze. Snoozing is a habit; once you start doing it you will do it every day. Practice for 7 days to get up at the first alarm and your brain and body will be trained to get up as soon as your alarm goes off.
Make a To do list at night
Try to make a list of all important things you need to do, appointments you have and errands you need to run next day. This does 3 things, a. You just planned your next day, which means there is a high chance of you doing it than when you didn’t write it down, b. next day, you will remember all the things that you need to do, 3. you just dumped everything on the paper so your brain will feel a bit of relief.
Make Breakfast and lunch ahead
I meal plan my breakfast and lunch and put it in individual containers. All I need to do is pick it and put it in my lunch bag and I’m set to go. Meal planning will make your week so easy. If you do not like meal planning you can easily make it the night before and just pack it up in the morning.
Plan my clothes at night
When I say I plan my clothes, I make up my mind what I will wear tomorrow. Knowing what I want to wear is like getting half work done. If you would like to get it and put it out, that is even better. You can plan your accessories and shoes too so that you do not need to rush in the morning.
Stay away from phone
Phone is a big culprit, I may wake up on time but once I get caught up with the phone I might get late. Even if I’m not late I will lose time, which I could have used to do something productive. So I highly suggest you to stay away from phone in the morning.
Do your hair ahead
I have very thick and frizzy hair and it takes a long time to wash, dry and set so I never do it in the morning. This makes my morning a breeze; all I need to do is a little make up and viola! I’m all set.
Keep your purse ready
I keep my purse in visible area with all my important things inside it, like my keys, my purse etc. I also make sure I keep any envelopes in my purse that I need to post or, at least keep the item beside my purse incase it is big so that I will remember to take it with me the next morning.
These are few things I do to make my morning a breeze. What do you do to make you morning easier?
