We all have those days when everything seems negative and we feel down. It not only makes us feel down but it is also harmful for our heath and well being. There are days we will be fine but there will be those days when we need to put an effort to stay positive. I’m sharing with you few things that I do to stay positive.
Choose to be positive
Most important thing is to know that everyday will not be smooth and that there will be days that are not so great. You have to choose to be positive to tackle those days. What that means is that you will have to make effort to stay positive and distract your mind from negativity.
Be grateful for what you have. You may not have everything you need/want but being grateful focuses your mind into things that you have than the things that you do not have. It is seeing your glass as half full than half empty; that alone can make you positive or negative person.
Despite choosing to be positive, some days are just negative. Some event happens and that bothers us all day making us negative. Try to divert your mind from things that are bothering you e.g. may be your friend is not nice to you 1 day. Try to think of something else and not about her, or what she said or did. The more you think about it, the bigger it becomes. Divert your attention to something else.
Try not say anything negative about people and things even if you feel tempted too. The more you speak about negative, the more you will focus on that which will make you more and more negative so resist the temptation to speak negative.
Stay away from negative people
This is very important one! However much you try all of the above, negative people will make you negative. They will never allow you to rise above negative so stay away from them!!!
Surround yourself with positive people
Just as negative people will make you negative , positive people will add positivity in your life. If it is possible, surround yourself with positive people. They will lift up your spirit.
